Hello there reader, how have you been? It is a tad bit rainy here. I suppose that we meet daily so a little conversation wouldn’t hurt, would it? So while the rain poured down, I came across a piece of news which I think would interest you. It sure did stir my fancy awake. So what is the news that we should be talking about?
Well, if you must know that Netflix had added the Galaxy Note 8 to its list of HDR-supported devices, as spotted by SamMobile. It means that this decision will make the format relevant to an immense audience which will be larger in size than before. Of course, it will reach the extended audience only after its release which is dated to be on 15th September 2017. The Samsung Note 8 will be the fourth in line which will support the Netflix HDR video playback. It will join the LG V30 and the Sony Xperia XZ1 and the XZ Premium in line. The facility will only be provided to those Netflix users who have a top-tier 4K streaming plan. In short, for all those Netflix users who have not opted for this scheme they will not be eligible to view the HDR video through their phones. It seems fair enough.
The feature of HDR offers users with a better contrast ratio and colour accuracy for the videos which they will view. But it should be mentioned here that the market at this instant is a mess of competing standards. Currently, there are five major HDR formats which are ruling the market, and they are the Dolby Vision, HDR10+ (this format is the result of Samsung and Amazon working together). The company Samsung started backing HDR matter on devices only last year, but they have left no leaf unturned to catch speed. Till now the company has worked to make Note 7, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, and the Note 8 to have HDR-capable displays. Now that is something inspiring!
Let us see how the whole experience feels like when the Samsung Note 8 comes out. I am eagerly waiting for that day. Please post us reviews, thoughts, opinions, questions if you have any regarding this topic. We will go through to them and try to get your answers.
